Description: This boundary was developed by TerraGraphics Environmental Engineering, Inc., in collaboration with Lewis and Clark county, the City of East Helena's ICs consultant (Robert Peccia & Associates), and the ICs Working Group, Although a portion of this boundary delineates regions in Jefferson County, no authority by Lewis and Clark County is implied and no interagency agreements have been developed between Jefferson and Lewis and Clark Counties to date.Criteria used to develop the proposed boundary are:Application of a reasonable buffer around the estimated distribution of soil lead at the 500 mg/kg level, as identified in the Record of Decision (ROD);Incorporation of entire parcels;To include the regions between Prickly Pear and Canyon Ferry Roads; andTo create boundaries that are easy to administrate.Other factors taken into consideration are as followsThe airport boundary;Review of existing sampling data; andAny future Jefferson County involvement in an ICs Program. This GIS file is still considered a working draft until Lewis and Clark County adopts a soil ordinance. Survey data were not used in the creation on this file, nor should it be considered a substitute for survey data.
